Monday, October 31, 2011 - Soon after Irwin, Paul Simon and I, launched the Children’s Health Fund (CHF) in 1987, our dear friend Jane Pauley joined our team. Twenty-four years later, she continues to be one of CHF’s most ardent and active supporters. Jane provides leadership as a valued member of our Board of Directors and Chair of CHF’s Advisory Council. She has joined us in the field as CHF responded to the disaster in the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina. Jane has encouraged others to become aware of our organization, and she has helped CHF raise much needed funds to expand and sustain our National Network of programs throughout the country.
We are excited that Jane and her work with the Children’s Health Fund will be profiled on the Big Ten Network’s (BTN) LiveBIG program tonight, at 7:30 PM ET. BTN LiveBIG tells the inspirational story of students and alumni of Big Ten schools that are making a difference in their communities. Jane attended Indiana University (one of the Big Ten schools) and is a proud Hoosier fan.
By living big and supporting Children’s Health Fund, Jane has helped our programs bring desperately needed health care to poor and homeless kids all across the US. And, we couldn’t be more grateful.
Tune in this evening to learn a bit more about Jane’s commitment to CHF and to living BIG! If you can’t tune in tonight, the segment will be available online at http://www.btnlivebig.com.
