Corporate Council

The Children’s Health Fund (CHF) works with major corporations, foundations and government agencies to create cooperative alliances that bring together participants’ strengths and experience. Together these organizations create a unified voice for children under the umbrella of the Children’s Health Fund’s Corporate Council for America’s Children.

With the leadership of U.S. Senator John D. Rockefeller IV (D-WV), David Pulman, PhD, President, Global Manufacturing & Supply of GlaxoSmithKline and Irwin Redlener, MD, the Corporate Council meets to discuss health reform, legislation and other issues that impact children. Council members follow the premise that:

"Every American child should have the opportunity to develop his or her full potential. This potential can only be reached if each child has a healthier start in life. Fulfilling this objective is the shared responsibility of parents, community institutions, employers, the media, government at all levels, and every other segment of American life."
Senator John D. Rockefeller IV,
CHF Corporate Council Honorary Chair

Council members provide ongoing financial support to sustain and expand CHF's affiliated programs and special initiatives.

Contribution levels for Corporate Council membership are as follows:

Corporate Council Trustee:
$1 million within a maximum 4-year period

Steering Committee Member:
$300,000 within a maximum 3-year period

Partner:
$100,000 within a maximum 2-year period

Member:
$50,000 first year, in subsequent years renewal at Partner level required

By joining the Corporate Council, participating companies designate two Delegates, typically the CEO or President and another senior executive, who are invited to participate in the Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., as well as other high-level policy events sponsored by CHF. Council members are listed on CHF’s letterhead, Gala invitations, other printed materials, and on its website.

Furthermore, each contribution level entitles the corporate members to a variety of partnership recognition opportunities, including sponsorship of special events, designated child health programs and/or cause-marketing campaigns.

For more information about the Corporate Council and the various levels of recognition, please contact Carol Sumkin, Vice President of Development, at 212-452-3340.
