About the Project

The Idaho Children's Health Project (ICHP) provides services to low-income, uninsured families in south central Idaho, including migrant/seasonal agricultural workers who have substantial language, cultural and transportation barriers to health care.

Health challenges of the children served by the project include high rates of asthma, malnutrition, obesity, dental caries and lead poisoning. With some patients as far as an hour away from a pharmacy, adequate medication can be hard to come by. To address this need, the project provides medications to its patients.

The mobile unit serves the city of Twin Falls and the surrounding area by delivering comprehensive primary care and dental services to local schools, community-based sites and HeadStart programs during the school year and to migrant worker camps during the summer months.
