Children's Health Fund mobile clinics, like this one in New Orleans, bring care to kids where they live, study and play.
Parents Magazine editor-in-chief Dana Points recently stopped by one of our mobile medical units and saw firsthand how Children's Health Fund is connecting children in low-income neighborhoods to the care they need to thrive.
"Inside the cheerful yellow-accented RV is a state-of-the-art two-room medical clinic, complete with a triage area and a nurse’s station," she blogged. "In 25 areas across the U.S., including New Orleans, Detroit and Washington, DC, facilities like these provide check ups, vaccinations, and treatment for a range of conditions to kids who have no other access to medical care."
Points also noted the challenges some of our patients face, such as finding a place to sleep at night and getting enough food.

Parents Magazine also featured our EVERY CHILD A CHANCE campaign in its September issue, in a story focusing on the ways untreated medical problems can hamper kids from succeeding in school.
