The Children’s Health Fund will sponsor a National Child Health Caravan – with Mobile Medical Units traveling from New York City to Washington, DC - to include a press conference and possible congressional hearings to inform and educate key legislative leaders and health policy makers about critical issues surrounding reauthorization of The State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
The Children’s Health Fund will host a Capitol Hill Child Health Summit, convening a broad spectrum of child health provider, policy and advocacy organizations, as well as congressional members and staff, to organize a national action agenda for addressing critical child health access barriers.
Honoring President Bill Clinton with CHF’s Humanitarian Award, the gala will feature a performance by Marc Anthony and special appearance by Jennifer Lopez. This spectacular celebration will be held in New York City.
Also honoring Robert Essner, Chairman and CEO, Wyeth and Christian W.E. Haub, Chairman, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company.
