Paul Simon Joins Child Health Advocates

September 16, 2009 - Children's Health Fund Co-founders, Paul Simon and Dr. Irwin Redlener, traveled to Washington D.C. to continue their advocacy efforts for health care reform.  Joined by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Association of Children's Hospitals, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, CHF emphasized that millions of children can't wait any longer for health care reform.

CHF supports health reform efforts that will provide universal health care coverage for all kids, shore up the health care workforce and promote the medical home model of care.

"It would benefit the country in the long run economically to have a healthy group of young people, and in the short run, I think it benefits the soul of the country to reach out a hand in compassion to show that we care about all Americans," said Simon.
