The Los Angeles Children’s Health Project (LACHP), also known as COACH (Community Outreach Assistance for Children’s Health) for Kids and Their Families, provides medical, mental health and dental services to children 0-18 years of age, along with case management services to their families, to those living in low-income and medically underserved areas throughout Los Angeles County. The LACHP is part of Children’s Health Fund’s Referral Management Initiative, which is designed to ensure that children in high-risk populations have access to specialty care.

Available Services:

  • Comprehensive primary care, including immunizations and laboratory tests;
  • Referral management to ensure high-risk populations receive specialty care;
  • Screenings for tuberculosis, lead and anemia; hearing and vision testing;
  • Nutrition consultation and education;
  • Social work, case management, crisis interventions, psycho-social assessments and referrals;
  • Parent support groups;
  • Dental care services including screenings and oral health education;
  • Health education;
  • Referrals to community resources; and
  • 24-hour, 7 day a week access to licensed staff.
