Last Sunday, I spent the afternoon listening to the Lead Heads—America’s only teen Grateful Dead cover band – who organized a benefit concert for the Children's Health Fund at legendary NYC venue, the Bitter End. This was the second year in a row that the Lead Heads have helped CHF by raising money and awareness for the Fund by packing the venue with people interested in our cause. Check out some pictures from the event on CHF’s facebook page.
The Lead Heads have quickly been gaining notoriety in NYC—in this past year alone, they have performed at major NYC venues the Highline Ballroom, Sullivan Hall, and The Brooklyn Bowl. They also were recently featured on Sirus Radio’s “Tales from the Golden Road”, a weekly Grateful Dead radio program with world-wide listenership! If you would like to learn more about the Lead Heads and find out where they are playing next, you can visit them at http://www.leadheads.net/
A special thank you to the Lead Heads for your commitment to help even more of America’s children grow up healthy.
