Family Fun Day in Brick, NJ Helps a Community Recovering from Hurricane Sandy

The art table was a major attraction for Family Fun Day attendees.

Playing, art, dancing — they're all part of the healing process. Children affected by Hurricane Sandy threw themselves into these activities (and more!) at our  Family Fun Day on Saturday in Brick Township, NJ.

Hundreds of families came to the Emma Havens Young School to draw and color, do zumba and yoga, play kickball, and enjoy terrific performances by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards. Everyone dug into a delicious lunch from Shore Catering. The kids even learned a little about asthma and other health issues.

We'd like to thank everyone who helped out, including the Webkinz Foundation, Sanofi US and the Sanofi Foundation, Jefferies, Merck, Robin Hood Foundation, United Health Foundation, and the Children's Health Fund Board of Directors. Thanks also to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Nursing.

Children's Health Fund is providing health care to families in the township affected by Hurricane Sandy.
