Two weeks ago, on April 19, I spent the day with actress and mother of two, Julianne Moore, who helped launch Connect Kids to Care (www.facebook.com/clorox), a program we developed in partnership with The Clorox Company.
The Connect Kids to Care campaign uses Facebook to rally people across the country to help CHF connect kids to ongoing health care with the click of a mouse...so you can help! Visit Clorox’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/clorox) to learn how you can Connect Kids to Care, watch videos of CHF doctors in action, and see photos from our event with Julianne Moore. Most importantly, make sure you “like” Clorox, because for each new fan, Clorox is donating $1.00 to CHF, up to $100,000 (from April 2010 to January 2012).
Why is this program so important to CHF? Because even with health care insurance reform, millions of children don’t have access to regular check-ups and health care visits when sick. Some children live in areas with too few pediatricians who can’t keep up with the demand for their services and others live in communities where transportation is neither affordable nor available. Thanks to Clorox’s commitment and your help, CHF programs will be able to provide health care for families around the country.
