CHF in the News

Actions Speak Loudest is a compilation of essays written by 35 prominent citizens of the world and includes an essay on "Health Disparities" by CHF President and Co-Founder Dr. Irwin Redlener.  At the end of the essay, there are suggestions of ways the reader can support organizations and make their voice heard about health care and children, including links to sections of the Children's Health Fund website.

 

AMERICAN IDOL will once again host IDOL GIVES BACK, the Emmy Award-winning television event and musical celebration raising awareness and funds to benefit various U.S. and international charities, during the Top 7 Results Show Wednesday, April 21 on FOX. Children’s Health Fund is confirmed to be one of beneficiaries.

CHF Co-Founders, major pediatric provider groups and Congressional Leaders came together on the Capital Lawn to underscore the importance of health care reform for children.

Four years after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf region, unresolved conflicts among state, federal and health sector players have paralyzed the decision-making process, holding up community reconstruction and the development of plans to rebuild the devastated health care system of New Orleans, while families wait for vital medical services to get up to speed.

Randy Christensen, MD, Medical Director of CHF's Phoenix Children's Health Project is featured on CNN and answers questions about the current health care reform proposals.

Ronnie Devoe, Michael Bivins and Ricky Bell of R&B group Bel Biv Devoe spent an afternoon with staff and families at the Children's Health Fund's Mississippi Gulf Coast Children's Health Project in Biloxi, Mississippi.  The group learned about the program's mobile bus units which treats children in the three coastal counties and also provide mental health services.
