While all supporters of Children's Health Fund (CHF) are considered friends, a select group of notable individuals use their significant influence in the media and with their specific constituencies to raise awareness for CHF.
From the early days of CHF, our notable friends have pitched in when called upon. Musicians including Billy Joel, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed and Ruben Blades joined CHF Co-Founder Paul Simon at the first concert benefitting CHF in 1987 (see video below).
Former president Bill Clinton, parents, entertainers, and musicians Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, sports hero New York Yankee Johnny Damon, and style icon and celebrity mom Nicole Richie have all given their time to enhance our events, raise funds to support CHF programs, and lend their voices to speak for America's most vulnerable children. Many have joined our Advisory Council, such as TV newswoman Jane Pauley, actor Charles Grodin, and General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret). Their guidance and input over the years has been extremely valued.
